What Is Lip Blushing?

Lip blushing is a type of semi permanent cosmetic tattooing procedure achieved by depositing pigments in your lips using small needles. While also sometimes called lip tattooing, this is more of a cosmetic enhancement rather than traditional tattoo art.

  • Long-lasting lip color.

Increased pigmentation for pale and aging lips.

The ability to customize your lip shade.

Fuller-looking lips without need for injectables or surgery.

    Enhanced lip symmetry.

Color correction for scars and uneven pigmentation.

  • Avoid hot, spicy, and salty foods as it may cause added irritation.

Avoid large bodies of water, direct sun exposure, teeth whitening, rubbing and smoking.

Do not pick or scratch the lips as it may lead to a loss of pigment and/or scarring.

  • Keep them moisturized with Vaseline.

The initial swelling will subside after a couple hours. Cold compress is also ok.

The lips will get dry nd flakey and heal 30% lighter. A monthly touch up is required.

Powdered Brows

Powder brows is a cosmetic semi permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powder effect, very similar to powder makeup. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun.

For both the powdered ombré and combination brows, full healing takes 2-3 weeks. For the first 3 days your brows will be very dark, and then they will start to harden and flake off. Unlike microblading that falls off in patches, powder brows flake off in one big (or a few big) pieces. Touch up is required 4-6 weeks. They will last 2/3 years before another touch up is required.

Microblading

At Dolled Up, we love micro-blading. It’s an amazing treatment that inserts special and safe pigments into micro incisions using the highest quality micro blades and pigment. Natural hair strokes, fuller and more defined brows are the end results. With shaping, tracing and measuring the brows, we will create your perfect brow shape.

You can decide on the thickness and arch you want and we will decide on your colour that matches your natural hair. You will be numbed before the process and provided with aftercare instructions. There will be a follow up/touch up appointment one month later to correct any fading that may have occurred or to make adjustments according to your preference.

Important Information:

Every brow and face shape is unique and we do our absolute best to create the best brow shape to match your measurements and face symmetry. We also match the pigment closest to your natural hair colour. Even if your hair is dyed, micro-blading still needs to match your brow hairs, especially if you ever plan to grow out your natural hair. The “dark stage” healing process usually subsides after day 3. We recommend not booking your micro-blading appointment close to special events or trips. Give yourself at least a week to heal, and most importantly follow all aftercare instructions. Use aftercare as directed by your artist and avoid direct sunlight during the healing phase. Your eyebrows will heal in stages from darkest to lightest by usually around week 3/4 and then you are ready for a top up. Most brows remain intact for 1-2 years before you will need some re-applying of pigments to brighten or correct the brows. The brows make the face so with a little time, effort and patience we can create your perfect brows together.
